so, we have finalized our menu!!

pre-reception: (10:30am)

pastry display
coffee/tea/juice

hopefully just enough for people to have something but not get too full!

reception:
appetizer-
pan seared crab cake with mango red onion chutney,tamarind coulis and leeks

salad-
mozzarella with tomatoes and aged balsamic vinegar

entree
seared beef filet with red wine demi paired with rosemary grilled mahi-mahi
served with roasted garlic yukon gol masshed potatoes, baby carrots, asparagus and petty pan squash.

dessert-
wedding cake (2tier)
1st tier- marble cake w/ bavarian cream
2nd tier- chocolate cake w/ tropical mousse

What do you do for people who don't eat beef? Just curious because I remember this was a big issue for my own wedding. We were married in a place without a kitchen, the caterer had to bring in a portable kitchen plus enough beef and salmon for everyone (we let them choose at the reception), plus we had some veggie dishes on hand for the vegetarians. I guess at Disney you have fewer people and know what they'll eat!

The chef at out ps told us we could substitute 2 fish/ 2 beef for those who dont eat one or the other. DF sister doesnt eat beef so we did make sure to ask. We originally we going with beef/chicken but at our tasting the Mahi-mahi was so good (and i'm not a big fish eater) we decided to go for it!

Hopefully all the less than adventurous eaters will try it!
