Sandwiches at Kringla Bakeri og Cafe

Can anyone give me more detail about the open-face sandwiches at the Norway CS?

I've never ordered one, but the best seller when I was there last week was the scrambled egg and salmon sandwich.

I know that there are more varieties, but that's the one that was selling the quickest.

They are a large single slice multigrain bread. The bread is buttered, but not heavily. The "topping" is then placed in the center of the slice of bread. A slice of pickle and a part of letuce are included.

We have tried the Salmon and Egg, and the Ham and Cheese. Both where great. The Ham and Cheese had a cheese I had never had before, very creamy.

We get to go back in November and we are going to eat there again.

I am pretty sure they have a turkey sandwich too. We usually only have desserts there.

We like the sandwich and usually split a ham and cheese and a sweet pretzel for lunch. YUM

The husband and I like this choice. He gets the ham and cheese, I get the turkey. Then I take the slice of bread from mine and give it to him for a true sandwich. I eat just the meat. Excellent choice. A hidden find, IMO.
