She won the Oscar for The Three Faces of Eve, a few months after they were married and according to the IMDb.com, she had another 27 wins & 31 nominations for various awards & accolades. They were married for 50 years, unto his death.

Jessica Tandy was married to Hume Cronin (both in the movie Cocoon,) for 52 years, unto her death. She won the Oscar for Driving Miss Daisy, a Tony Award in 1948 for "A Street Car Named Desire," another 4 Tony Awards, a few Drama Desk Awards (also for theatre, ) and 10 other film & TV wins & 9 nominations.

Both of these husbands were proud of their wives.


The men on the list who cheated on their Academy Award winning wives are just Beta male cowards, who couldn't man up where it really counted.

Yep. Cowards. Anyone who cheats on their spouse is a coward but these men especially so.

I thought this was one of the true "real" relationships in Hollywood, along with Sam Mendes and Kate Winslet...guess not.

I usually don't care too much about celebrities splitting but in this case I truly do feel so bad for her. She seems like the nicest lady.

i have a friend who works in the movie business, and he worked with sandra bullock just a few years ago. he says she is a genuinely nice person, very gracious and kind to everyone on set. this story is so sad. some men never learn.

But I caught this on a radio show this morning and thought it was interesting. The guy on the radio said something like "How could he do this? He is a biker named Jesse James that left his pregnant porn star wife for you. How could he not do it?"

BTW, is that true about him leaving his pregnant wife for Sandra?
