Sandbox Bar & Grille at Desert Palms hotel?

Has anyone eaten there? Is it good. We are staying across the street at the Portofino and I found a website with restaurant coupons: $25 gift cert for $10 (with $35 meal purchase). Was wondering if it was any good.

It’s a year since this post, but we just found coupons for this same restaurant. It’s within walking from Disneyland. We’ve never heard of it, seems it’s inside the Dessert Inn and Suites. Has anyone eaten there and have reviews? Is it family friendly? We found 1 menu online for the sandbox & grille, but it only had the pizza & burger page, and don’t know how old it may be. We’d like to try something new but good!

We ate there in April using a restaraunt.com gift certificate. It's located to the right of the entrance and is a tiny little bar/restaraunt. There's maybe 5 tables inside and 5 tables outside. They have espn and sports games on. All they have to eat is pizza and burgers. I had pizza and it was pretty good and really big for just me. 2 adults or three coulds could definately split it. My DH and DS had the build your own burgers and those were good as well. The only "warnings" I would give would be that it is hard to reach the $35 required spending limit for restaraunt.com gift certificates with only 2 people. Even with the 3 of us, we were pushing it and I think the only reason we made it is because DH had a couple beers. Secondly, although it is decent food, I wouldn't walk out of disneyland, come to this place and then have to walk back. We ate there because we had to come back to the hotel to change clothes and then this was on the way back to the park. So if you're staying around here, this would be perfect for eating lunch and heading back to the room to swim or nap, but nothing to go out of your way for.

We ate at Fire & Ice in gardenwalk and that was really good! I think the gift certificates on Restaraunt.com go fast so they may be gone for the month, but they reload on the 1st. But there was so much variety and everything we tried was good,
