DH has extremely flat feet. He told me over the weekend that he will need new sandals for our upcoming Disney trip. We leave in less than 2 weeks! Does anyone have any suggestions of good sandals for flat feet?

I would look into a pair of Tevas. They are supposed to be great for those with flat feet or collapsed arches. I have heard lots of good things about them through the podiatrist I do work for. They make sandals and shoes for men and women. ;)

Have your dh go sandal shopping himself. I tried on at least 60 different styles before I settled on the Nike ACGs. They fit me the best all over and are very comfortable. That being said I bought a new pair of ACGs this year and they don't fit the same as my old ones. With flat feet it is all about proper arch placement and every style/size varies as to placement. Good luck with your quest.

I have flat feet and I am on my 2nd pair of Keens. Love them! They make kids sizes too.

(They tend to run small, so ask for a full size bigger when trying on).

another vote for keens! they are very well made and don't cause blisters...at least they don't for my husband. He balked at the price, but you get what you pay for! They are as comfy as sneakers with the airiness of sandals! And they dry out quickly if caught in a randome;) Florida downpour!!!:thumbsup2

Also, if he likes flip flops, Montrail makes a flip flop called the Molokai. (it's the Molokini for women) They are very supportive flips AND when you get them you stick them in the oven on low temp for a minute and then you put them on. They mold exactly to your feet. It's kinda cool! They aren't the most gorgeous flip flop, but they are cute and it's hard to find a more supportive shoe, flip flop or not, than this.

good luck!!!:thumbsup2

Skip anythign you have ever had including Teva's and go get a pair of Ecco's. They are a pretty penny, but they are the most comfortable I have found.

My flat footed self loves Teva's by the way (sailing, beach, waterpark, washing the car, etc..), but with flat feet in Charleston at the end of May my black Teva's where hot hot hot and not very comfortable. Popped into a shoe store and bought a pair of Ecco sandals and my feet were floating ( and still are).

If you are lucky enough to live near and Ecco outlet store they are about 40-60% of the retail, but they are worth it even at retail they are so comfortable. They are not all terrain like the Teva's however, just great day sandals.
