Has anyone been recently to the Poly or Beach Club and happened to see what types of sand toys the gift shop offers? (And remember about how much they cost?) We have toddlers and I'm hoping to avoid having to bring sand toys b/c we're flying. We're staying at the Poly but do plan to head to Cape May one night so we can always grab something there if Poly doesn't offer as much as Beach Club.

Any pix of the sand/beach toys?? :worship:

THANKS!

Let's bump this back up...

I only know that on our last visit to the Poly in '07, we were able to go to the boat rental area and "borrow" their sand toys (bucket, scoop, etc...). I don't know if you can still do this.

At the Poly there were always a bunch of buckets, shovels etc. on the beach for the kids to play with-supplied by the hotel. Also at check in they gave my dd a pail and shovel for her to have and if I remember correctly mousekeeping had left her an additional one another day. They also had some pool noodles for the kids to use in the pool

Is the same true at SAB (they supply noodles and pails)? We're staying at YC and would just as soon not bring the stuff if we don't have to. We'll have the room as we're driving, but it's one more thing to pack/one more thing to lose.

You CAN buy noodles at the shop at Stormalong Bay (the one in the middle section of the actual pool area). I think I recall seeing pails and sand rakes at the BC gift shop, but can't be certain...

We stayed at the BC last year, and if you order CS from Hurricane Hanna's (CS right beside the pool), the kids meal comes in a sand pail with a shovel - you get their meal and the toy! Most people leave the pails around the sandy area there. We always found ones to play with

Awsome! Thanks!

How cool is that? And makes sense since most people wouldn't automatically bring along beach toys to Disney.

We have packed our sand toys in our luggage on previous trips to CR and Poly. This year, I do not want to waste luggage space. We are getting a gardengrocer delivery again this year so I emailed their customer service to see if that is something they could purchase and deliver for me along with my groceries and they emailed back they would be happy to do so. I will list what I want in the comments section of the order form and they will contact me later with the price. I am worried if I buy from the resort gift shop that toys will get mixed up if it is a crowded beach day and the last thing I need on vacation is a kid crying about mixed up toys:sad2:

That's a great idea Amanda! I think we'll be using We Go Shop but I'd assume that she would also do that. Great idea! Plus, probably much cheaper!
