Really want to go to Sanaa, but am wondering if it is quiet/subdued and might be too boring for the kids? 4yo & 7yo. They would love the animals, but just looks like a nice place and am a little afraid to pull the trigger.

They will be fine. Not all tables have views of animals though.

We were there in September w/ a 5 yr old and almost 2 yr old and it was great!
The food was phenomenal and the atmosphere w/ all the animals was just awesome! The kids LOVED it!

Hmmmmm - ok. Well then the dilemma becomes: Sanaa or Yak&Yeti? Yak & Yeti pros: inside the park (where we'll be) and I think the kids will like the theming. Pros of Sanaa: what appears to be awesome food & the view. Although @ 5:45 (available ADR) the sun has almost set in the month of year we are going....

We had thought about going to Sanaa - didnt realise you get to see the animals as well - that nails it for us:goodvibes

I discovered Sanaa this year, after a recommendation from our "greeter", Chris at POR.

I love Yak 'n Yeti, but this place was absolutely great. It definately hit the ball out of the park for me.

They will enjoy it tremendously.

you may not see the animals if it's close to sundown...we were told they deliberately place the feed at intervals throughout the grounds to "herd" the animals toward the night-time enclosure area. We were there at about 3 hours before sunset in mid-May, and the animals were actively feeding in the area of the restaurant. But by the time we left about an hour later (which would have been a couple of hours before dark), there were very few animals still in sight. That's when we asked if the animals would be back, and we were told the animals had already moved on to the next food area, and then will go to the next & so on until they reach the area they stay at night. My understanding was the keepers deliberately set out the feed at stages so animals move in the same kind of foraging way that would occur naturally...except they are being "steered" towards the area that's safe & secure for the night.

I took my daughter to Sanaa when she was 4. She loved it, the staff was great with her and the restaurant is neither too subdued not too quiet for kids. Like most other Disney restaurants, it's very family-friendly. She ate her food and went for some of mine, too, which was surprising (but good).

Took my kids last year, and were going this year. Get the bread sampler appetizer, it has naan and other choices, ask your waiter. We got it and my non adventourous eating boys loved it! We weren't by the window, but, we were a table over and totally could see the giraffes.

Despised the food at Y&Y!

LOVE Sanaa! Going again in a few weeks. It was a nice experience with the kids. Even if you can't see animals, the decor is exotic and fun!
