Sanaa what to eat

Sorry, not sure how to answer that. I don't get 'salad dressing' out of any of the dips/spreads, but I really have no idea how healthy they all might be. And to be honest, eating all that amazing bread loading with butter? The dips have to be healthier, don't they?!!
I haven't been in a few years, but I know I didn't "load my bread with butter".
I don't remember butter being offered or on the table. Is that a new thing? I don't think naan bread is usually eaten with butter.

No, it's not a thing at Saana. They don't serve the bread service with butter.

Will be going to Sanaa for the first time. What’s the best things to order?
Bread service and the Journey - keep in mind if the veggie options for the journey don't appeal to you, you can order a second meat for $6 upcharge. This is more than enough for my wife and I to share.

Is this still true? We asked about upgrading and were told no, we could swap out for an additional rice though. Or it's possible the server misunderstood what we were asking.

I know no one here is the chef but can you remember off the top of your heads if most of the dips seemed "healthy"? By that I mean not thickened with oils or the such. I'm thinking more like how salsa at a Mexican restaurant is mostly just ground up tomatoes and onions and what not. Or were they more like dips in the traditional sense like a salad dressing type consistency.
The 9 dips they include are: Cucumber Raita, Roasted Red Pepper Hummus, Mango Chutney, Tomato-Date Jam, Tamarind Chutney, Coriander Chutney, Garlic Pickle, Red Chile Sambal, and Spicy Jalapeño-Lime Pickle.
The Sambal is oily and the chutneys have some sugar/sweetness but overall the dips are mostly healthy-ish. The Raita is probably the closest thing to a salad dressing, it's a yogurt sauce with coriander and cucumber mixed in. Also - when they say "pickle" they don't mean like a dill pickle, they mean pickled veggies like cauliflower.

Thai's actually very good information thanks. The bread is obviously the "worst" part of it but if the bread service is a the whole meal it doesn't sound too bad overall...healthier than fried chicken or a steak and fries!

So I just looked online at the menu and I don’t see anything called “the journey”? What is it?

From the menu: “Choose one from the Journey – Goan Seafood Curry, Butter Chicken, Braised Beef, or Spicy Durban Shrimp.
Choose one from the Harvest – Aloo Masala, Chickpea Wit, Lentil Dhal, Paneer Tikka, or Cilantro-Coconut Vegetables served with scented Basmati Rice.”

Ahhhh thank you I hadn’t looked that closely

the 2 desserts are pretty darn good later at night when coming back from the parks and you "just want something" . . .

Mickey’s #1 rule: When the question involves giving more money, the answer is always yes.

Absolutely the answer to OP's question is the bread service. We've learned over the years how far up the line we go with the spreads/sauces, as we're not into super spicy. Now instead of making a mistake with a really hot one, we have the server trade out the top 3 hot ones for duplicates of the ones we really like. They do that without question, and it makes for a perfect meal.
I ate everything including the "extra" hot one our server brought us extra. The 3 others at my table were shocked, my girlfriend just shook her head!
