We just tried Sanaa for the first time and we loved it!!! The restaurant is beautiful and we had a window seat which was great. Our waiter, Giovanni, was fabulous and explained everything on the menu and made recommendations for us. We had the bread service with Naan and Paneer Paratha with Cucumber Raita, Mango Chutney and Roasted Red Bell Pepper Hummus. The Paneer had some heat, but was delicious and the Naan was just plain wonderful, hot and soft!!! My DH and I both chose the slow cooked in gravy items and between us tried all 3. The shrimp in green curry sauce had a bit of heat, but was so fresh and cooked perfectly - we loved all 3. Our DS had the 1/2 pound angus burger on Naan and loved it. We will definately plan on eating at Sanaa every trip.

Glad you had a great time, at one of my fav places anywhere:love:
The very first time I ate there, we had Giovanni as our server, he's awesome:thumbsup2
I'll be eating there for my birthday dinner in 117 days...But I guess I can't complain since my last meal there was 17 days ago:laughing:

Also one of our faves! :thumbsup2 soooo happy to have a choice like this at WDW that more closely resembles our eating style. (we really like "ethnic" cuisines)

Is it possible to get a dish without the Indian spices? DS14 is not a fan of Indian food. He's a pretty adventurous eater, but doesn't care for those flavors.

glad to read your good review. we are going for the first time next month- really looking forward to it.

I am not a fan of strong curry flavors, either. I did get the sustainable fish, but I don't think many kids like that. I think Tandoori chicken would have been my other choice. I stay away from "red curry" or "green curry" items on the menu.

Giovanni told us they could do little or no spice if we didn't think we'd like it, but we love spicy!!! :)

That's good to know. Thanks. I've seen pictures of Sanaa and heard about seeing animals out the windows and thought it would be a really cool place to eat.

The savannah is a lot smaller than AKL and it seems like you're right in the middle of it all. There was a lot of animal activity when we were there, something always passing the windows. We loved it!!!

We also LOVE Sanaa!!!! We ate there last year just a few weeks after they opened and it immediately went on our favorites list. Just ate there on our trip two weeks ago and will be back again in October.

Not only is the food great, but so is the service! And the restaurant itself is just beautiful. It's decorated to look like tree trunks are growing out of the floor and blooming open at the ceiling. So cool!

We also are very impressed with Sanaa. I think it is one of the best 1TS restaurants that Disney has. Not only is the food unique and tasty, the service is very good.
