Ok... I'm an extremely picky eater who is obsessed with WDW food!! I'm trying desperately to branch out and try all the restaurants at least to see the ambiance and experience something new. I'm terrified (however I made ressies) of Sanaa. The menu frightens me, but can anyone assure me that I will love my lunch?? I booked it this trip because we'll be at AKL Jambo, and it's close before we depart for the airport the last day. There's plenty of other places I want to eventually try, but I know I won't ever take the time out to go there if I'm not staying at AKL.

Tell me what you got, what you suggest to a chicken/pork chop/steak girl :)

Thanks!! Have a great day!!

My husband is anti-curry, or thought he was. We went to Sanaa during our visit at Thanksgiving, and we both LOVED it. The view and atmosphere is unbelievable, and the food is better than most at WDW. The bread service is a must. Very, very good! And, we had the entree that gives you the option of three pots, including short ribs, chicken curry, and shrimp curry. We tried them all. The short ribs fall apart on the fork. The chicken curry is in a tomato base, and the shrimp is in a cilantro-type base. They were unbelievably delicious. We had dessert as well, but I can't recall for certain what my husband had. I had the chai pudding. Yum-o!

Go. You won't be disappointed. It is now a must for our February trip!

I just ate there the other night and had virtually the same dish, with the chicken curry and the beef ribs. They were both delicious

I also give a thumbs up to the bread. As far as I'm concerned, Naan is a must.

I also tried the chai creme and did not enjoy it. The consistency wasn't really something I cared for.

We had dinner there on New Years; absolutely fabulous! I had the sustainable fish and my friend had the tandoori shrimp, excellent choices. We also had the bread service, it is not to be missed. The tomato soup was delicious, you could tell it was made from fresh tomatoes. We had the dessert sampler and loved being able to try different things.

Honestly, don't go with a preconceived notion of what to order. We found our server to be exceptionally well versed on the menu: favors, portion sizes, able to compare choice a to b; just top notch.

We are going to be at AKV Jambo in March. Is Sanaa a place where you would need an ADR or could you just show up for a meal? We are trying to minimize reservations on this trip so we can have a less structured time at the world.

We just love Indian food, so my mouth is already watering.

Were going in March for the 1st time, I heard the Sustainable Fish entree is really good as well as their Tandori items.

DH and I are eating there on March 3. I'll let you know what we think of it!

I'm looking forward to trying some place new.

It was pretty good, but not quite as good as I hoped it would be. The bread was definitely great, though a bit overpriced. My husband got the fish and he liked it, but he didn't rave about it like most of the other food he had. I went with the vegetarian sampler because I'm not a big meat fan in general, it was good, but if we go again, I'm going with the shrimp.

Your comment made me laugh a lot. I love naan and can go through a heaping plate of it at the local Indian buffet. Can you tell me about the portion size?

you get three pieces of bread, typical size and three choices for dips/spreads

You won't have heaps of bread, but you do get will be delicious

Someone asked about walk ups; seems those have been easier to get at lunch. However going in March can be tricky with spring breaks, so not sure if no ADR would be suggested.
