Sanaa question

We are going in October and staying at AKV. I really want to make an ADR for Sanaa. The problem is, my DH and DD(12) are picky eaters. Do they have anything there that these 2 would consider "normal" and want to eat, so that I can try the restaurant? I have a felling I'm pretty much out of luck.

Or could they, say, order from the kids menu and just be charged more?

They have a burger at lunch and steak at both lunch and dinner. Granted the toppings/seasons may not be for the picky, but they'll make it plain at your request!

I would do the same as a pp suggested - ask for burger without toppings, or plain chicken on the naan, etc. It's a very good restaurant - if all else fails - go enjoy a solo lunch there

I know they are very accommodating. I recommended Sanaa to a good friend (adult/mom) who is the pickiest eater of her bunch. She was so afraid of ordering anything off of the main menu, so they made her a very basic cheeseburger. i.e. not the lamb kefta or bison ones that sometimes end up on the menu.

My daughter and I went to Sanaa last summer. She really liked the pizza on the kids menu and LOVED the bread service appetizer. I ordered the kids butter chicken - an adult portion would have been too much with the full bread service and dessert. Our server had no problem letting me order the kids meal (at kids meal price and portion). The butter chicken was very good, not spicy at all IMO. We're dragging my husband there this summer - he's also a picky eater but I think he'll like the bread service and butter chicken, too.

We are having Lunch with an Animal Specialist there in June and it looked like there would be a few things my picky 16 year old plain eating vegetarian would eat so I bet you could find a few things there.
I'm really looking forward to the bread service appetizer that goes with that lunch.

My DD (currently 14) is very picky and we have eaten there several times. We love the bread service, she just sticks to the "normal" dips and she has either ordered something from the kids menu or plain grilled chicken.
