looking for a place to have dinner..3 of us, including a rather picky 5 year old [funny about eating meat, will only eat hot dogs, grilled cheese or buttered noodles...really.....:rolleyes1:rolleyes1]

I can only eat very small portions of mainly protein. DH, he's game for just about anything.

If it matters, we are going to be leaving the AK, want an early dinner and will be in park clothes. TIA.

ack. I just had a whole reply typed out and lost it. Ughh

We all had beef and all of our meats were cooked to perfection. I think they have a terrible app menu. Dessert was yummy!! Cocktails were good too. Not sure I would go back but our meal was good. My 5 year old had the kids steak too.

I've been to both and liked the food at both. Both have pretty standard kid fare - you'll need to look over the menus, but nothing really adventurous and they probably could accomodate buttered noodles.

With a 5 year old, you're better off going with Sanaa. The Wave is very nice, but Sanaa is more child friendly, as you can see wild animals through the windows and there is a viewing deck just outside the entrance. Sanaa's portions are not huge and there are some great chocies. The sustainable fish in broth is very mild and extremely light and is only protein and vegetables. The tandoori meats can easily be ordered without rice.

Also if you're going from AK, it's much easier to just go to Sanaa. If you're using disney transportation, take a bus to AKL. It stops at AKV. To get back, take a bus from AKV to DHS or EPCOT and then switch at one of those parks for a bus to your home resort. Unless you're staying in an MK resort, in which case you'll want an MK bus.

Hi Karlzmom,
I have eaten at both and I would say it is a tough choice. They have different food and are different experiences. I am a picky eater and to my surprise I found several things at Sanaa that I liked. If you are going to be leaving AK I would say Sanaa for the ease of getting there. You really can not go wrong either way. Have a great trip. :thumbsup2

They both are great choices and we have had excellent meals at both. For a group with a child I would say Sanaa for the animal views. For adults I would go for the wave because DESSERT IS OUTSTANDING! (Really, you get a sampling of 3 desserts. So good!)
