I was initially thinking of going to Boma with DH and 5 year old DD then seeing the animals, but someone recommended Sanaa for viewing the animals, and the lunch menu looks really good! This would be for a non park day. Plus Sanaa lunch looks less expensive. Maybe I have answered my own question? ha ha, but recommendations welcome. Thanks!

If you want to see animals then Sanaa is the more likely place. Make you sure you ask for a table near the windows. IMHO, Sanaa has better food.

Then, I would imagine, we could walk back to the main lodge grounds to see the animals outside there. Correct?

Correct. Kadani where Sanaa is located has its own Savannah although smaller than the main lodge.

Both are fantastic. Sanaa is more relaxed, can be cheaper, and better animal viewing..

As far as getting there... Uber, or you can walk/boat to HS and take a bus from there.

I agree, you can't go wrong in my opinion but Saana for lunch is nice and relaxing for a non-park day. That would be my pick for you guys :)

I really like both restaurants, that said, Sanaa for lunch is fantastic.

Sanaa had a QS breakfast that was never crowded and quite inexpensive (comparatively) last fall. I'm not sure if they still do, but we ate breakfast there four times during our last trip and always found a table by the windows.

Glad i came across this. We were thinking about dinner at Sanaa. The only time available right now on the day we are going was 7pm.
Is this too late to see the animals ?
Not sure how early it gets dark in early September.

We loved Sanaa! Boma was fine but hectic, loud and while the food was good, not amazing. Sanaa has a slightly more Indian quality to the food instead of traditional African.
