Sanaa is a regular for us and we are approaching our 180 day mark, checked out the menu on allears and its changed a lot since last time we went, seems a lot more boring and my shrimp main has gone! Thinking we won't even go this trip!

I am bummed they took off the shrimp but it's still a fantastic place to eat.

It looks like they've removed all of their seafood selections. And the slow simmered combos are gone. That is disappointing. There are still several dishes that we really love so I imagine that we will continue to go.

They had the most fantastic gluten free naan the last two times I've eaten there, in 2013 & 2014. Now, since they've switched to allergy free menus, they've changed the naan recipe, as the previous one wasn't also dairy free, and apparently Disney's trying to make meals that are free of more than one allergen. The reviewer who reported this states the new naan recipe is no where near as good. I'm really, really bummed about this, and will not be returning to Sanaa. So disappointing.

So you're not going to try it for yourself and see if you like?

I don't think so. I trust the reviewer's thoughts. She writes a gluten free at Disney blog, & seems to know what she's talking about. I've tried so many gluten free bread/bakery products & for the most part they are gross. Definitely not worth the calories. I specifically went to Sanaa for the nann. It's too much out of the way for a gamble that something might be good, especially when a gluten free reviewer says it's nothing to write home about. Now if I'm staying at AKL I'll give it a try, otherwise, unless I hear more reviews that say the new nann is as good as the old, then I'll take a pass.

I was so disappointed to see this. We cancelled our November reservation there. We all enjoyed the slow cooked trios and duos and seafood options and just aren't interested in the new menu. We are going to Boma instead.

1) Everyone can now officially blame DDP.
2) Another eatery dumbed-down due to the meal plan.
3) Seafood has become more expensive, and with DDP reimbursement, there is not enough profit margin.
4) Labor costs have increased enough that prices must increase to prepare slow-simmered dishes.
5) Prior to DDP, eateries could just raise prices as necessary. *
6) Now, they must stay within the annually contracted reimbursements. *

* Will be interesting to see how new eateries at Disney Springs (ie, Boathouse, Morimoto) handle food cost increases and DDP.
