Hello, DH and I will be without a car on our upcoming trip and I would love to try Sanaa for lunch the day we visit AK. Does anyone recommend the bus system or do you think it will be too much of a pain? The other option would be to eat in the park at Tusker House or Yak and Yeti using the dining plan. I've eaten at Tusker House several times and LOVE it, but I would like to try something new. Thank you in advance!

Disney's internal bus is not a problem just be sure that you disembark at Kindani Village and not the Animal Kingdom Lodge because Sanaa is not in the AKL but in the Villas near by.

We ate lunch at Sanaa in March just wonderful! I would highly recommend it.
Tusker House and Yak and Yeti are find but not in the same category with Sanaa.
If you do eat at Sanaa try the bread service with all the sauces!

If there is any sort of issue with the buses while you're there you can always uber.
We used uber throughout our stay in March and it was seamless and inexpensive.

We just did this in June. Got to AK at rope drop, rode the bus to AKL Kidani, ate and took the bus back to AK. It was easy and fast.

We will have a car but instead of moving it that's what we plan to do! I have a late lunch reservation (2:40 I think) at Sanaa, we will get to the park before opening, tour till about 1:30 then hop a bus over to eat and a bus back to AK to finish off the afternoon. We absolutely love Sanaa, it's one of my favorite at WDW! And definitely try the bread service!

Definitely do Sanaa. It's worth any effort to get there. Most especially, I recommend the bread service.

Just to clarify (cuz we are planning the same thing as op) there's only one bus to akl but it makes stops at the main house and kidani village? Or are there separate busses?

One AKL bus from AK with first stop Kidani Village (Sanaa) and second stop Jambo House (main bldg with Boma & Jiko).

The PA system on the bus will also tell you which restaurants are at each stop. I was nervous my first time going to Boma, but I just paid attention to the announcement and all was good. And I agree, Sanaa is worth the extra trip - it is amazing!
