The Magic is scheduled to be in port at 7:45 AM on May 7, 2017 after a 7 night Southern Caribbean. Can I make a 11:35 AM flight out of San Juan International airport or should I book the 1:10 PM flight?

Thanks,

Martin

Very good question. I'm also on that cruise should be looking soon for flights I guess.

I caught a 1:55pm flight and found I had a bit too much hanging around time. There is a Margaritaville at the airport but that's about it. Getting through security took the most time (around 30 mins) so that's something to bare in mind. That said I didn't leave the ship straight away I think I was the last transfer to the airport around 9pm. Its only around 15 minutes to the airport max so I guess it depends on how much time you want to be hanging around.

It sounds like the 11:35 AM flight is definitely doable even allowing for 2 hours at the airport.

It really all depends on your comfort level - and optione in case of a missed flight.

I personally would rather be at the airport and read a book for a while and be more relaxed overall than be stressing if anything prevented the ship from docking early or there were delays in debarking. Or traffic.

Others are more comfortable pushing it and risking having to rush through the airport and/or missing the flight and would rather have that stress than downtime to read or do laps or whatever.

I don't like rushing but I hate waiting at airports. I'm a frequent flyer and rarely arrive at the airport more than 60 minutes before my flight. I'm allowing a little extra time at San Juan. Being platinum I can always get us a seat on a later flight if we run into any issues like on our last cruise. (The Fantasy was several hours late; but, then again, that was during hurricane season.)
