San Juan hotel for family?

Hello! Looking for a clean comfortable hotel to stay in night before cruise. I saw Hyatt Place has a cool water play area for kids & Mariott Stellaris has a water slide. Anyone stay here or have other suggestions? Would like to have a place to stay at with nice pool and/or beach. We have a 4 year old as well. Thanks!

Check out the Residence inn near the airport (about a mile north). It is about 2 blocks from the Carolina Beach. There is a real swimming pool and a kids play water area. It is fairly new. This is definitely a hotel/ condo tourist area. There was a grocery store (Pueblo) nearby, walkable. We extended our checkout to swim in the pool before heading to the port.






Next door was a Hampton Inn. Nearby was an Embassy Suites.

(No hotel in San Juan Has an airport shuttle. But ride shares are available.)

If you are not Concierge, consider a later PAT. Waiting was outside the terminal. Even luggage drop-off had a line when we sailed in May. I am not used to standing in line to get to check-in for Disney. And definitely not in PR heat and humidity.

We stayed there too (at the same time as @auntlynne in fact) - my 8 year old loved it. They also had beach gear that you could take if you wanted to walk down to the beach (it was about 2 blocks) and I saw some people doing it, but we just stuck with the pool.
