Has anyone gone there? It is the "ruins" stop on the disney excursion-"cozumel beach and ruins". I want to know if this will give our DS 9.5 a sence of history-and hense something to "report" on or just a pile or rocks that I should skip seeing and just go to the beach? Ann

Hasn't anyone been there? Maybe that answers my question already:rolleyes:

Been there! Not on a cruise though. My boys love the ruins and have been to Coba, Chichin Itza, Tulum , Uxmal and San Gervasio Ruins . It will be hot when there. The ruins are best in the AM or PM. The one thing you need to keep in mind is that there is alot of fertility god stuff in the gift shop~ LOL .
My boys are 9 and 11 and excited to be going ruin hopping in Belize and guatamala next summer!

I know San Gervasio is small compared to Tulim and Chicinizra but my son has not been to any ruins before. The Disney excursion then takes you to the beach to cool off. I am leaning towards it mainly so he can learn some history but am concerned that it will be boring. The fertility stuff he would probably find amuzing though.
