Trying to help my son arrange his honeymoon. Called for RCI exchange, specifically the Nob Hill in San Francisco. No availability in the entire state of California for RCI.

Has anyone been able to obtain an RCI exchange for anywhere in California?

Honeymoon in August, so really need help soon.

Too bad you didn't know this about a year ago. You might have had better luck. Trading out doesn't work very well for short notice stays. Lots of people start looking two years out for trades.

For SF, I'd suggest talking to a Shell or Bluegreen member about the Donatello or Inn at the Opera. I'd also talk to the SFX company to see if they have anything you can exchange to independent RCI using your DVC points or a Wyndham member for their resort in SF. You might also talk to some of the other independent exchange co including Platinum Interchange, Trading Places Intl and DAE. However, I'd think it unlikely to get anything at this late date unless it's inside the 45 day window on an ongoing exchange.

The Wyndham Canterbury at San Francisco shows pretty good availability for early August in one bedrooms for one-week stays. You might try over on the TUG boards for an exchange.

If you want to post the dates you're looking for, I will check availability for those dates for you -- not to do the trade myself, just to let you know if there is availability.

Be aware, though, that Canterbury is a new Wyndham resort and the points costs are pretty high -- 300,000 points for a 1BR for one week. So that might make for an expensive trade using a DVC reservation, although you never know until you try.

You might also be able to get a good rate at the Canterbury for just a straight cash rental from an owner on either TUG or Redweek.
