Calypso or any others who have taken this trip....
How hard would it be in a walking boot? It looks like I'll be done with the 6 week non-weight baring portion of my recovery, but I'll still be in a walking boot. This does not make me very happy since I'm very active and want to do as much as possible! I'm just curious if this will impact this trip from your perspective.
Thanks Rapunzellover... That was my fear. I was there once a few years ago so I completely understand what you're saying and that is why I wanted to get some perspective. I may think about pushing the surgery back, but just hate the thought of being in a boot in winter.....oh well, some things must be done

For on your own time walking around may be challenging since it is hilly. So that would depend on where you wanted to go and if walking was involved. You would have to opt out of the bike ride and do the trolley tour instead. Other than that, I don't think it would be an issue and I would not have let that stop me. I say go for it.
Thanks for the information! I'm always up for a challenge! Although, I do really want to do the bike ride. I may push the surgery until after the trip. Thanks everyone for the input.
