San Diego Zoo - must see Shows?

The zoo only has two shows. One is a sea lion show, it is cute...lots of seating. If you are going to Sea World and are pressed for time at the zoo, this is far more amatuer hour than the show at SeaWorld. The other show, the Wild Ones is cute and you see some animals you wouldn't expect doing behaviours. Again, if pressed for time....skip it.
I have enjoyed both shows, but they aren't fantastic. My DD7 loves the sea lion show and asks to skip the Wild Ones show since we have seen it twice this year.

If you go to the Wild Animal Park...don't miss the bird show...it IS fun!!

Can you explain wild ones to me at all. I really couldn't get any idea of what it even was.

We will be doing SeaWorld the next day - so if we have to we can miss the Sea Lion show at the Zoo?

Thanks a million...
Any tips on Sea World? I will take any...

We leave 12/06......:cool1:

It is in a fairly small open air ampitheater thing. Keepers introduce you to various animals and tell you about them. I remember there was a porcupine, a wolf and some manner of deer-type creature. The animals do various things..stand on hind feet for food rewards, thatkind of thing.
There were others, but I can't recall them. It is small, so pretty intimate, the feel is more educational than showy.
Again, if timing is right...go see it. I just wouldn't suggest killing yourself to make a schedule!!!

Skip the sea lion show if you are doing Sea World....unless you need to sit down!!

Sea World...I second the Pet's Rule show. And feed the Bat Rays...they suck the squid out of you fingers!!! Amy
