San Angel or Tutto Italia?

Dinner with two little boys, 7 & 4. They have traveled to Italy so I thought it would be fun to go back to "Italy", but I hear the atmosphere at San Angel is really neat. We are looking for a good dinner choice for the adults and could go either way or with another suggestion. I am already planning on Le Cellier b/c it appears that everyone votes it as "the" restaurant to hit in Epcot! Any advice would be great. Thanks! :)

I would probably pick San Angel. The food there is OK but the atmosphere is great.

We ate at tutto and didn't love it. We thought it was waaaayyy overpriced.

My kids didn't really enjoy Tutto, it was too loud and rushed for us. We like the atmosphere at SA, though the food is just ok. We'd still prefer SA!

Thank you, everyone for these suggestions... Sounds like San Angel would be the right choice... Maybe this will be an OOP meal, then, for us? Just get an appetizer and a drink while the kids have dinner? (We are doing the DDP, and b/c we are using 2 credits for an "adult" dinner, we are short one evening)... If the food isn't "incredible" I can stand to eat "light" one night -- I know I will need to :rotfl:

Been to both! Hate San Angel Inn (NASTY!!!), but loved Tutto Italia.

I like San Angel Inn. Just remember that it's closer to real Mexican food than the usual Tex-Mex. We aren't going this time because the kids menu doesn't have stuff that will interest my kids. I chose Tutto Italia instead for dinner. The menus are on allears.net

I've never been to San Angel, but we did Tutto last summer and thought it was good, but not great. We weren't seated in the main dining room, so I felt that we missed out on a lot of the atmosphere there as well. But with so many other great choices, I'm in no real hurry to go back.

Both menus worked for our kids, so I will just do a little more research! I looked over the menu at AllEars already and couldn't decide. We have not been to either, which is why I thought I would post the question here!

Thanks for your advice!:goodvibes

Look at the food pictures on the Food Picture thread and maybe that will help you decide. I always use that as my deciding factor. Things can sound good on paper, but when you see the real live food, it often makes the choice easy.

WHAT a good idea, thank you for that, I will do so straight away, and you are right, somethings sound fabulous or interesting but are far less appealing in person :crazy2:

Thanks for the link!

We have done both and like both but with kids you might want to go to San Angel Inn because of the atmosphere
