San Angel or La Hacienda

I can't speak for San Angel, but La Hacienda is one of our favorite places in all of WDW. That seafood platter for 2 is amazing, and the corn! The corn! I had no idea it could taste that good. The view is lovely whether or not Illuminations is going on. La Hacienda

I have been to both and like both for different reasons. I would say that La Hacienda will have more Mexican fare that you would be familiar with. I view it more of a Baja type cuisine. San Angel is more authentic Mexican food.

La Hacienda has a menu based on the food of central/southern Mexico, whereas SAI is more toward the food in the north. Both are authentic Mexican food, while also being "tweaked" a bit toward the typical American palate.

San Angel is more authentic Mexican food. My finance is from the border and she liked both, but preferred San Angel because she felt it was more like what her mom cooked. These are opinions, but might be helpful. The chips and salsa are the same at both as are the drinks (I believe). La Hacienda can be more romantic if you get one of the semi-circle booths, but those are limited. I like the ambiance of San Angel because it feels like you are eating outside.

Thanks. My heritage is Mexican and if san Angel is anything like abuelita made ill love it. But I also grew up in Houston so love Tex-mex and Georgia has its own mex food that is good and I don't know where it comes from. Lol. The bean in my name is for the pinto type. Lol!!
