Does anyone know if the menu posted on Deb Wills site is complete? In other words, is the menu selection really larger or is that it?

Also, is there a bar inside the Mexico pavillion that we could just go in and have a drink? OR is the cantina outside the only place?

Thanks.

I think Deb Willis menus are complete. As for the cantina, I can't help you there. Hopefully others will have some answers for you. Happy planning!

skip it! we had the worst service every here and the food was not very good either.

I gotta agree with stacy.... we went and the food was so so and the service was bad..... I was bummed.......

We've eaten there many times.
Sometimes it's so-so, sometimes it's really good! It was good when we ate there a month ago. The Queso Fundido and the nachos are good, and the chips and salsa are pretty tasty too.
Our server was okay, we had to kind of conjole him into being friendly. ;)
There's no bar inside. Great margueritas outside!:p

I found the CM's at SAI were very accomodating. I didn't care for anything on the menu so the chef came out personally and ask me what I would like. I opted for fajitas and they were really good!!! My husband has had bad experiences previously though. Anyway, I enjoyed the environment and would suggest it at least once. You never know until you try!!!:Pinkbounc :bounce:

We have been several times and have never had problems. I must admit though that last November the food didn't seem as yummy as I had remembered. However, the atmosphere is fabulous!!! I will go again just for the atmosphere!

We all enjoyed our meal there last week. We found the food quite tasty and were craving more later in the week! We also had a nice table by the water. The waiter, an older man, was friendly but wasn't overly friendly but he was a good waiter for sure. I didn't see a seperate bar inside.

We had an outstanding meal on New Year's Eve last year at San Angel Inn. The Cantina food is inedible, though!

We really like San Angel and would be going on this trip if the kids had agreed. They don't care much for Mexican, though. We're definitely going to SA in the summer when the kids aren't with us.

Every trip we say that we are going to skip this place, so that we can try something different. Every trip we end up eating there anyway. The atmosphere is so great and I love getting Mexican food that is different from the standard tacos and fajitas that you get everywhere in the world. (Try the Chicken Mole!)

We enjoy this restaurant. The atmosphere is so much fun. We've always had very good service. The servers tend to be middle-aged men who we find very professional. They're not going to stoop down to look you in the eye and say "Hi, I'm Brandy." They're dignified and we've always found them to be prompt and accomodating.

We love the queso fundido. The rest of the dishes have varied over the years and we've enjoyed most that we've tried. As others have noted, it's not Tex-Mex.

There's not a bar per se but there is a small area with low tables and chairs near the service entry and restrooms....a little away from the main dining area. Perhaps you could be seated in this area and have a drink?? Not sure though.

This is one of my favorite places. We skipped it for many years. I remembered it as not so good from a trip in 1980 and then read many times that is was the same food as the cantina, only three times the price. We didn't go there until about two years ago. It has become a definite favorite.
