I see that the San Angel Inn is closing for refurbishment in May. Any idea when it is reopening? Thanks!

The refurbishment has been postponed for later this summer. May is still open. There are several other posts on here about it.

I've seen in other posts that the full refurbishment/closing has been either postponed or canceled. The new plan is to keep the restaurant open while they do it, only closing sections of the dining area. I believe it's rumored to start on May 16th, but I haven't seen anything official about it.

Amen to that. It's the only place in WDW where I've had to send my food back to the kitchen. My steak was virtually inedible and my replacement food (chicken IIRC) was quite terrible, too. Such a beautiful setting and such wretched food. Do they still serve grocery-store corn chips and salsa?

Today I just made a lunch ADR for 11:30am at San Angel for June 8th. The CM on the phone said that they were not closing it as planned on May 10th, but would do some modifications while it was still open (not exactly sure what that will be).

We were going in Sept and I was just curious if it would be closed or not. Now I'm wondering if the food is any good!!

From past experience, it wasn't any good to begin with. The atmosphere is fantastic, but fifteen minutes after eating there I was in cold sweats and crying in an Epcot bathroom. No thanks!
