San Angel Inn?

I have ate there twice and I will go back for the third time some day. The atmosphere is awesome and the food is quite good. JMHO

I'm the opposite of most posters. I think the CS-Cantina is yucky. I don't find the food there very good. It reminds me of JimBoys if you have those at home. However, for the restaurant San Angel Inn it is yummy. I love the more traditional dishes they offer. Mexican food isn't about the chips & Salsa or the rice & beans. If you want that go to Chevy's. I did think the children's menu and the desserts were lacking. The chips & salsa are nothing to write home about but who wants to fill up on that. Here is my review of it in November: http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2027134&page=3 Just scroll down a little bit plus I have pictures too.

I find the food very good and tasty. It isn't covered with salsa or cheese. I like Mexican cheese over Monterey Jack. So, I can see if you haven't been exposed to these types of food you'd find it lacking. If you want to travel traditional mexican food this is the place to go! There are no enchildas or tacos here.

It is one of our favorite restaurants. It is a great place to relax and have a good dinner. I think the service is very good - they don't try to get you in and out as fast as possible. They allow you to enjoy dinner at a relaxed pace. Our food has always been good, you might want to check out the menu before you go to make sure there is something there you would want to try. After a day of hitting it hard in the park, this is a wonderful place to enjoy a good dinner. :thumbsup2

This tends to be one of those places that people really like or really don't like. We happen to really like it. As others have said, it is not Taco Bell type Mexican food. It is more regional, authentic style. We've had great meals there and wouldn't hesitate to go back. The service is a little slow, but I enjoy that. You don't feel rushed, have lots of time to enjoy the atmosphere and eat a lot of chips n salsa. It's a great escape from a hot Florida afternoon.
