I was wondering how the San Angel Inn is for dinner. I have been there for lunch before, but the dinner menu looks interesting! I would love to here some opinions! :)

If you do a search on this board for "San Angel Inn" you will find lots of reviews. :) I have never eaten there, but I can tell you that the atmosphere is beautiful. Here is a photo of the outside:

I may also try this place some day! :wizard:

My husband and I enjoyed eating there. I've had better Mexican food, but they had some really different things that were fun to try. I would eat there just for the ambience!! It is a beautiful restaurant.

We just love the San Angel Inn!!!! Mostly due to the dining atmosphere. It is very romantic! I love getting a seat right by the balconly where you can watch the boats go buy. :cloud9: The food is good, but nothing outstanding, also the service varies from slow to very slow. But, to me it is worth putting up with the slower service to experience this wonderful dining atmosphere!!!! :thumbsup2

Other than the nice atmosphere, there isn't much to recommend this restaurant. Take the little boat ride and you'll save serious money. ;)

We have been to lunch and dinner, and liked both.

At dinner, I can't remember the exact name of the dish, but it came with a steak filet. Very good, cooked well, but not burned, very juicy and tender.

We love the atmosphere, and we just love Mexican food period.

San Angel get lots of mixed reviews, I think its either a love or hate kind of place to eat.

We love San Angel Inn. The food is good, atmosphere is wonderful.

You will get lots of comments, but take them with a grain of salt. I think lot of people are expecting taco bell mexican..not real mexican. I can't remember what region of mexico this food is from. Definately worth going to.

The taco appetizer is wonderful the rest of the food is just mediocre. The drinks were GREAT! My husband thought it was pretty good. I would have preferred Taco Bueno. Of course I am from Texas so I am spoiled to real Mexican and Tex-Mex food.

The San Angel is my favorite Epcot joint. Like the food a lot, love the setting.

That is a photo of the Cantina de San Angel, the counter service restaurant. It does have good tacos and the like.
The San Angel Inn, located inside the Mexican pavilion has more authentic mexican food, not tex-mex. It's worth trying, and the atmosphere is very pleasant.

We went last June for dinner and we enjoyed it although my meal was a little creamy for me. Pollo al la rajas, which was chargrilled (i think) chicken with a sauce containing lots of cream and peppers etc, if I remember correctly!

They give you tortilla chips and salsa to start and we filled up on those which was a mistake as the portions are a good size!

The atmosphere and the Mragaritas are fantastic! :thumbsup2

San Angel is our must go to place every trip! We love the food, atmosphere is the best in all of WDW, service tends to be a little slow, but we won't miss it!!

I would love to eat there someday with my fiance because it looks sooooo romantic and absolutely lovely.

But my fiance hates "real" Mexican food. The most he's willing to eat is Taco Bell. He's sooo picky. :confused3

We were there last week and we really enjoyed it. The chips and salsa weren't anything special. But we all enjoyed the Sopa Azteca. And my mom and I loved our entrees. She had the Combinacion Cozumel (I think that's what it was), and I had the Pollo a las Rajas which was sinfully good. My sister had the same thing as my mother and didn't care for it much, BUT she does not eat beef and hasn't had it in 20 years. For some reason she thought it sounded good after all this time, but decided maybe that was a bad idea lol. So I think that's why she didn't like it, not that it wasn't good.

We were much too full to have dessert. Maybe next time!

I had been worried by the mixed reviews but I went in knowing it may be different than the Mexican food I am used to and didn't expect that. So I was pleasantly surprised!

I normally don't eat at Mexican, Italian, or Chinese table service restaurants at WDW, because we eat a lot of that at home. However, the dinner menu at San Angel Inn looked interesting, especially the Carne Asada con Chilaquiles, so I made a reservation for December - though NOT for the CP.
