San Angel Inn vs La Hacienda for dinner??

Hi! We love mexican and want to do one of these! Just wondering which has the best food! We have done San Angel before and thought the food was pretty good, but smallish portions! Would love any recent reviews!

I love the atmosphere at San Angel, but thought the food was significantly better at La Hacienda. Went 2 times and really enjoyed it both times!

I also really loved the atmosphere at San Angel but the Food at La Hacienda is AWESOME. That being said, the atmosphere at La Hacienda is really nice too...especially at night by the big picture windows But something about sitting inside San Angel with the boat ride floating by is so relaxing and unique....

I originally booked for La HAcienda, but had always dined at San Angel in the past. Then I checked the menu's, I felt my family would enjoy the choices at San Angel better. My suggestion would be to compare the menu's and see which menu appeals to you best.

I do love SA for the atmosphere. I hear such amazing reviews of LH tho. If I wanted the ambiance I would go to SA and order something simple if I wanted a really good meal Id say LH..

That being said Mexico is my fave pavillion next to China and Japan..
