Saw that the San Angel Inn is being closed for renovations around May 10th.
Does anyone know how long this will go on?? We have ressies for June 25th, I'm hoping we are not affected by this.
Thanks:)

How odd - when I made our ADR's for the same week (June 20th - 27th) back when I was at my 90 day mark, they wouldn't even take reservations for San Angel Inn. Did you make the reservations recently?

they decided not to close it yet. I just called and got ADR for May 19, but was told No a month or so ago. She confirmed its not closing.

I was out of the country at my 90 day mark, so I called a week later.
The reservationist just booked it and never said anything.
I would hope that if its closed they will let us know ahead of time and offer us another option. We will be on the meal plan.

I just called to ask again and was able to get reservations for June 23rd. I was advised that the restaurant will be "partially open" - whatever that means. I was also told that it's indoor seating only. Perhaps they are only renovating the outdoor seating?

I tried to make a reservation for lunch the week of July 21st. The CM said that she wasn't able to pull up lunch reservations, so she thinks it is closed for lunch during that time. I was able to make a dinner reservation though!

I made a reservation today for dinner at San Angel on May 26.

I made a dinner reservation for July 3rd and not a word was said about it being closed. I'm thinking I might call back though, just to double check!

I just called Disney and they said it is a partial renovation and the restaurant is still open. The CM said it just means they will have fewer tables available. Now I have this image in my head of being surrounded by jack hammers and dust while we try to have dinner. Unfounded concern, I'm sure.
