We'll be at Epcot on Sunday, Sept. 30. We have a pretty tight schedule already, so I don't want to have to worry about working around a reservation.

How possible do you think it would be to get seated here without an ADR?

No one here can answer your question with any certainty. It all depends on the crowds in Epcot that day and how many of them are in the mood for Mexican food (and/or a margarita).

If you truly have your heart set on eating there I would suggest you make an ADR. They are free and you can always cancel the ADR later.

Just to give you an idea...

We ate there for lunch on the Sunday after Thanksgiving last year, and called 20 mins before we sat down to eat for a 12:30ADR with a party of five adults. Its very possible.

Make an ADR, it's worth the time and effort.

Not too popular, but very good in my opinion if you like Mexican food! Don't think you need a ressie, but that again depends on which day/how busy Ecpot will be ~ JMHO!:goodvibes

You might get lucky. I would still try to get an ADR though. I don't think it's one of the most wanted reservations out there. I was just able (a couple of days ago) to make dinner ressies at 5:00 during free dining. :confused3

Last year, during free dining 2006, (Sept 19th) we were able to walk in at 4:30pm and snag a table for dinner for 3 immediately. And to boot, the table was right on the "river."

So, it can be done. It just depends on if you want to have a guaranteed ressie or not.

Stop by early and put your name in if you really want to eat there. I much prefer the Cantina in Mexico. We've eaten at San Angel Inn twice and were disappointed both times.

Totally possible, the DH and I walked right in there for dinner on our last trip...we didn't even have to wait for a table.

We decided to add it for lunch at the last minute when we were there in May (the day before memorial day). We called maybe an hour beforehand to make ressies, but when we got there they were turning people away who *didn't* have them.

So, I would say it might be a good idea to call just a little bit beforehand on the day-of, when you have some idea what you're doing that day. good luck!

Sorry to be nosy, but are you a veggie? I'm asking because I was wondering if you'd eaten vegan at San Angel. If you have, how was it?

Thanks,

Jennifer

Thank you! I'll probably try that.

Yes, I am :) I haven't eaten there yet, though. I haven't even been to Epcot before! haha. But I love Mexican food, and I heard there's a separate vegetarian menu at the San Angel Inn. I believe when I was researching where to eat, I saw that everything on those plates, minus the obvious cheese and sour cream, is vegan. So, I'm thinking Mexican Disney-style? Must be good!

According to allears.net, there is a small vegetarian menu with 2 items that can be made vegan. Another option for you to consider is the Tangarine Cafe in Morocco - fabulous food with veggie/vegan options.
