Sam's Club (Walmart)

Do you have to be a member of Sam's Club to shop there. We just want to pick up one thing they have.

I think they have a temporary shopping "day" membership you can get, but you have to pay 5% over what is posted for members.. I think BJ's is the same, don't know about Costco..

My daughter wants a trampolene and Sam's Club has the 15ft. We have to drive 50 miles, otherwise 10 miles away at Menards they have the 14ft for $139.

Maybe you could try to find someone who belongs. As long as they pay for it, you can go in with them, pick it out, hand them the money, and let them pay. The only thing is if you wanted to put it on your Discover or Debit card, you couldn't. Then you could save the 5%. Once you go in and look, you may want to even join, there is so much there, you can make up the $35 membership easily.

Do you have a friend who is a member? They can give you a guest pass.

I have gotten a "guest pass" at the door at my Sam's before. Call and ask their policy at the Sam's you would like to go to.

I think that guests using guest passes still have to pay 5% more than the posted price. If you know someone who is a member, ask them if you can drive them over there and help you purchase this. This is not against Sam's policy, I have done it many times with my mom, and the cashier instructed us on how we had to do it.
