Sams Club Travel tickets

Does anyone have experience with the tickets bought through Sams club travel? More specifically, in regards to upgrading them? I thought I read somewhere that they have an expiration and therefore, can not be upgraded. I now have the tickets in hand and do not see anywhere that says it expires. Am I missing anything? When I put in the order, I saw where it said if the ticket included Wet and Wild passes they would expire at the end of this year, but don't see anything on the tickets I have.
