Sam's Club Offering ONE Disney Wedding

Interesting. Did you see that it's during park hours? I bet the wedding will be used a publicity stunt then, which seems a little unfair to pay for... That said, if I had had $200,000 I didn't need and was available to get married on 18 days notice... It does sound nice .

Wow - all that money yet your ceremony takes place at the dumpy Swan Boat Landing? You can't even see much of the castle from inside there!

And you only get the Landau Coach - NOT Cinderella's! Not worth it just for that. No Stitch either! :lmao:

And did you notice that the reception is in the backstage area where they store the floats? I was just back there in Oct. on a KTTW tour & no matter how nicely they decorate it-- it is still a warehouse/garage!

It's a really neat idea, but the fact it's during park hours BORING. If I'm going to spend that kind of money, it would have to be when no one is around. What kind of pictures do they expect you to get with people around? it makes no sense.

This isn't something you can win?

Why would someone want to purchase that?

If I had that much money to spend, I would much rather customize it and not have 40,000 people staring at me.

I like Sam's, but this is a little crazy!

Do you think someone will go for it?

Do you think Disney is ever going to change this so they have a pretty location for a castle wedding?

wow. Interesting! That is a hefty pricetag, but does include more than just the wedding. It includes the hotel and 4 days with a VIP tour guide etc. The tour guide alone is about $5000.
Oh and if you look closely, you don't get married on November 18th, you can purchase it on November 18th. It says the first person to wire transfer $198,000 to Sam's Club after 12pm receives the package.
I'm interested to see if there are any takers and if there are, I want pictures!! lol

I think it depends on how long the economy stays in the dumper! :rotfl:

From what I've seen, if money is no object and you can talk them into letting you do it well before or after park hours, you can get a stage set up in front of the castle like they did for the Brides Magazine contest winners. But the "budget" $28,000 package wedding happens right before the MK opens, so there isn't time for them to tear down a set-up like that.

I'm just shocked that Sam's is selling what's basically that MK package grafted onto a Couture reception in a warehouse for so far above retail! :cutie:
