Have any of you Sam's club members participated in their "e values" program?

I'm looking for feedback on the savings you've seen.

I don't really agree with spending and additional $300 membership fee to save money, especially when the brochures read that you're guaranteed to see $300 in savings offers or your money back.

So, does that mean they can offer say $50 off some piece of jewelry, $100 off luggage, $100 off a piece of furniture, sprinkle in $50 worth of $2-$10 off discounts in grocery / perishables / consumable paper goods & call it even?

I think the program's only been active a year, and I've held off. There's supposed to be a big sneak preview Labor Day weekend. Any chance this will be worth it?

They automatically mailed us back our money because we only used it once for 1.00 off a watermelon. 90% non food items like jewelry, mattresses and computer related stuff. Some paper and health and beauty products. Very little food and that is mostly what we purchase there. Horrible option for us. We were going to ask for a refund but they auto mailed to us.

I found it didn't work well for me either. The "coupons" didn't truly match my spending habits.

It didn't work well for us either. We only had it for 2 months though. We paid a prorated price in June and our membership expired in August. It was worth it at the time because we were buying a lcd tv and the evalues gave us an additional warranty. I didn't purchase it when we renewed our membership because I had only purchased 1 or 2 things after that.

Ours was pro rated too. We were in it for about 3-4 months & it never reflected our shopping habits. I think we only had saved $1 when we bought a hot dog meal in the snack bar. They were really pushy when we wanted to cancel.

I have benefited from the evalues, but the real value for upgrading to a plus membership to receive the evalues was my prescriptions. I am saving $28 a month just on my prescription.

And, I usually find at least 1 or 2 items a month that I can save on, and have noticed that I eventually receive evalues on products that I regularly purchase, like yogurt, fresh fruits, chicken...
