Ok so I saw on another thread that Sam's has the buy $100 get a $10 card for the disney gift store. I wasn't thinking of doing it but then yesterday I was at the disney store and saw that they sold park tickets.... can you use those gift certificates for them? :confused3 I wasn't sure why you couldn't and that would buy my park tickets for almost 2 people? I asked at the store and they looked at me like I was nuts and said they didn't know?? Typical CM!

I think they can be. I will go look at the back of the gift card I got (need to find it) and let you know.

Thanks! We are going with family and doing two rooms at the Poly which is $$$... so I could get alot of gift cards... but honestly if I can't do the tickets I'm not sure what I'll do with $500 worth of disney store cards! ;) And I love disney stuff!

I'm not sure ~ but I was curious does your Sams have the cards right now? We are going next summer and I would to get some, but my local Sams doesn't have them. They said maybe they would get them again around the holidays. Between Halloween costumes for my girls and Christmas gifts and things to put away for souvineers for our next trip, I could easily spend a good bit of money at the disney store :rotfl:

I've purchased my annual pass with DIsney gift cards

Okay, found the card. On the back it says "the card may not be used toward the purchase of theme park passes, gift cards, or disney dollars." This is the blue Disney Store card (that comes with the holiday themed Disney gift card).

I bought the gift cards from Sam's (8 of them) before our trip in June. The $100 cards can be used anywhere in WDW. The $10 cards can only be used at a Disney store, but not at the parks, resorts or DTD. We used the gift cards $100 gift cards at the resort to pay on our account after making purchases throughout the day using our KTTW. If you can't use the gift card to pay for park tickets you could always use them at the resort. You just won't be able to use the additional $10 ones. We used those to buy things before our trip.

the 100 dollar ones you can use for tickets or anything at disney or a store but the 10 dollar ones only at disney stores or disneyshopping dot com, it really is a good deal because if im going to send disney a couple grand, I may as well get a couple hundred dollars in free merch.

Thanks... That's exactly what I needed to know. I figured there had to be a disclaimer but if not I definitely was going to go room only and forgo dining

You're welcome. I wasn't sure if I had used all mine (I bought 9 of the $100 gift cards to get 2 DLR premium annual passes) but I apparently still have 3 of the $10 gift cards left.

As the other posters mentioned, you can use the $100 gift card at DLR, WDW for anything (tickets) but the $10 blue Disney Store gift card is only limited to Disney Store (not even World of Disney). It is good for souvenirs and if you can use it on Disneystore.com, you can get authentic park merchandise for it too!

My DH went to Sam's Club and they had no idea what he was talking about. He went to CS. Should he have gone to the travel area or something?

Just go to the display that has the gift cards. They are just with all the other types of cards they do, such as restaurants.

Many of the Sam's are sold out of these. They were a Holiday item with a snowman on them. Some Sam's have them left over, mine does not.

These are not regular gift cards , they are "specially marked" 10$ bonus cards to be used in the Disney Store only, and have restrictions on them.

They are on the rack with the other Gift Cards, but most likely they are sold out.

In the package is a 100$ regular unrestricted Disney gift card and a 10$ bonus card, with a list of restrictions on back. It sells for 98 dollars and change.

There is another GIGANTIC thread about these gift cards, here on the dis boards, I don't know how to find it though.

Can the $10 bonus card be used at the Disney Outlet stores? I'm thinking the one in Pigeon Forge in particular since my in-laws live down there.

The $10 bonus cards can be used at Disney STORE outlet stores, since I used them at the one in Hershey, PA. Note: Their register system at the Disney Store outlet would only allow 8 gift cards to be used per order, so be prepared to break up your purchases.

These $10 bonus cards can NOT be used at Disney Outlet stores, just at Disney Store outlet stores. The $100 Disney Gift Cards can be used at both.

I don't know about the Orlando Airport store, but I doubt it, since it does NOT show up on the store locator at www.disneystore.com

I posted earlier about our Sams Club not having the card ~ I was told they were a holiday item. Anyway, tonight I had to go to Sams, so I decided to just look with the gift cards to see if they had any (before I just went straight to the service desk to ask...I had already paid and then I remembered about them, had all three kids and didn't feel like roaming the store anymore!). Well, they had 2 so I bought them! I asked the cashier if they would get more and she said they have them all the time, so yes, they would get more. Basically, I got two different stories! Looking at them when I got home, they are winter designs, so I wouldn't be surprised if they don't get more, but hopefully they will. I am a little worried though because when I called the number to check the balance of the bonus gift card it said it could not be processed at this time. I hope that is just b/c it was almost 9 pm est. I hope they work b/c we'll be vacationing really close to a disney outlet next week and I am looking forward to shopping!
