We stayed facing the quiet pool although I do not remember which room. I don't think you can go wrong with any room in Samoa. It is a great building, we loved the location.
Weve stayed on both sides.
Facing the volcano pool seemed more fun and active, whereas facing the quiet pool seemed more tropical and relaxed. Loved both sides!!!
We had room 3609 facing the Volcano Pool. We were pretty far down the hall from the elevators, but it was worth it! Our room overlooked the pool and we could see a little of the fireworks from the balcony at night!
The location is a hop, skip and a jump to the Grand Ceremonial House and Captain Cook's.
We requested a pool view when checking in, and had to wait 3 hours for Mousekeeping to prepare the room. Definitely worth the wait!
Most people like the volcano pool side but if you want a little less foot traffic in front of your room than the quiet pool side is nice also. They do get a lot of requests for this building and there are only 54 rooms so I would keep a second choice in mind.
We've stayed in 3611 (closest to the Hawaii building, facing the quiet pool). We liked the location because there is almost no noise outside the room (good during mid-day naptime). We also liked that if you stepped out on to the balcony and looked out over the left hand side, you could see the lagoon .
It is furthest from the elevator, but I like that due to reduced noise level.
