I read alot on these boards about ppls opinions of weather, places and things. Peoples opinions on how to "do" the parks, things to not miss, things to miss. I read it all and take it with a grain of salt. People get so worked up sometimes, I think they miss the forest for the trees. Let me tell you of my experience last year:
A friend, her friend, and their two pre-teen daughters go to Disney the same exact time as Dh, dd5 and I.
Our experience: Perfectly amazing. The weather was gorgeous, the room was perfect (POP), every day played out just exactly right. We walked on some rides and waited maybe 15 min tops on others. We got front row seats for the 3:00 parade and cinderellabration quite by accident. We didn't have a set plan, just one ADR for dinner with Piglet (Pooh, eh, he was just a bonus, lol). Our flights were fine, both ways (Southwest).
Her experience: Disaster. The weather was too hot, the room sucked (They stayed at POP as well), every day just sucked. They waited up to 60 minutes for some rides and didn't even get to go on some. They missed the parade, they missed a lot of things. Their flights sucked (Flew Southwest as well). She had absolutely everything planned out minute by minute and said she wanted to be leaving for the parks bright and early when her friend and daughter just wanted to sleep in.
I guess my point is different strokes, different folks. Go into your Disney vacation open minded, knowing you can't do absolutely everything there is to do, and take some time to smell the roses...some of our favorite times were just sitting and people watching. It's all magical, and for God's sake you're in Disney so da**it you better have fun!!
