Same restaurant 2x in same day?

I have ADRs for breakfast and lunch at the Tusker House on the same day. Even though it is completely different offerings, would that seem strange? The Yak & Yeti menu isn't very appealing to me, it seems "too heavy" for lunch. I suppose it is no different than eating 2x in the resort food court on some days. I guess because it is a TS, it feels strange.

Definitely OK for me! I thought about doing the same thing - breakfast and lunch at Tusker house... the food is completely different and a buffet like Tusker house is faster than waiter service, usually. Once seated, you get your food right away, pay and leave. Some of the counter service places can have long lines. In 2008, I really liked the Tusker buffet. and the Safari Breakfast was great!

But, we were served pretty quickly at Yak and Yeti. Food is different but I think very good.

We like Crystal Palace twice for lunch in the same trip -- we like it a lot... the food is good and DS doesn't give a fuss about stopping rides to eat because the characters are there.

We also don't mind eating twice in one trip for convenience. We had breakfast twice at Ohana when we stayed at the Polynesian.

I've done it before. On our last trip we had breakfast and dinner at Kouzzina on the same day. It wasn't ideal because we didn't want to have to return to the same place again but it just kind of worked out that way. We had a great time anyway and really enjoyed both meals. If you like the restaurant, then go for it.

I would say No! There are to many different restaurants to eat at one twice! Why not try Yak&Yeti for lunch (or dinner)?

I don't think it seems strange, but maybe you want to do breakfast and dinner? Unless you are doing a late lunch it may be too much food too close with it being a buffet.

I say go for it! We LOVE Tusker house for dinner or lunch! Breakfast w/the characters is a good way to eat in the park early. Easy...right there in the park, and you don't have to wait for your food!

I don't think the concept is strange, but I agree with the poster who suggested perhaps trying an early dinner at Tusker House instead of lunch.

Unless you are eating an early breakfast and a late lunch, having two consecutive buffet meals sounds like too much food! Everything for breakfast at Tusker House is wonderful, so you will probably leave stuffed. I wouldn't be ready to return until much later in the day.

But, to address your initial concern, I wouldn't worry about having two meals in one day at the same restaurant. Like you said, the fare is completely different.

We're planning an early breakfast and a late lunch at Tusker in October. We want a sit-down lunch in the middle of the day to get out of the heat and to rest, and Tusker lunches between 1 and 1.40 come with reserved Nemo seating (3.15 show), which cuts down a bit on the waiting. Seems worth it to me. We like Tusker, so it will be no hardship to eat there twice.

This was not at a table service restaurant but there have been times where I went to the Contempo Cafe 2x in one day, however I would always order something different each time.

Lol, that is pretty funny. We're not the type to gorge ourselves or pigout just because it is a buffet. That's probably why it didn't phase me about eating at a buffet back-to-back.
