Just wondering if anyone has had 2 seperate reservations but a continuing stay at a resort. I have a reservation for our entire stay with AAA discount, but I can get Sun - Wed of our stay with a discount code. The CM said I will have to check out and check in again on Sunday and they would keep us in the same room "if possible" but can't guarantee it. I don't want to go through the hassle of switching rooms for a savings of $100. Just wondering if anyone else has done this and how it worked out.

I have never done it however I was checking in one day and a gentleman in front of me was Checking out then checking back in. I guess they had a code as well. All the CM said was, "O.K. you're done!" It seemed pretty esay. I would just mention when you originally check in that you have the double ressie and see if they can make a note about not swithcing rooms. I see it as one less room for mousekeeping to clean and prep!

We have done this numerous times. When you check in mention it and say you hope you won't have to change rooms (nicely).
You will still have to go to the desk to check in again when your new reservation starts but it only takes a few minutes (go very early).
We have never had to change rooms.

I've had three! A package, and two separate room-only ressies (due to change in season). We didn't have to move rooms, but I did have to go down and get new key cards and have the tickets moved over to the new cards.

Thanks for those answers as we will be doing this next July. :thumbsup2
