We were looking at booking the dinning package which requires you to buy tickets. Don't really need the tickets. I have an AP and my wife has non-expiring tickets from a previous trip.

Could we book the dinning package, get the single day tickets. When we go to the parks, I use my AP to get in and she use the two single day tickets on different days?

If the tickets were seperate from your room key, it should work fine, right?
But since they will be on your room key, will that make a difference?

Thanks.

If you will be spending more than 3 days and fewer than 11 days in the theme parks, using single day tickets, even just one, as-is is usually a waste of money.

One of the single tickets can be upgraded to cover the entire vacation (if not with non-expiration and more days) after you check in.

Otherwise you can exchange room keys so the person using up the separate tickets has a fresh one each day. It is necessary to be extremely careful that two fresh room keys are not put into turnstiles on the same day.

There is a slight chance the turnstile or the biometric reader on the turnstile could misfire and the person using the ticket be asked for ID, which will not match the name on the ticket. However totally unused tickets should be usable by any person and related persons should have fewer problems on this subject.

Just a small correction, you cannot actually upgrade only one of the tickets bought through a package, Disney requires that ALL tickets purchased through the package be upgraded. Just FYI.

When Ultimate Hoppers were the package ticket of choice, that was true.

Since Magic Your Way began, tickets are no longer linked to your resort stay - so they function as independent admission media.

You can now upgrade just one ticket from a package if you'd like.
