Okay I know I have seen this here from reading but here goes. Going December 16-24. Airfare already purchased so days are no longer flexible.

There will be five of us Me, my girlfriend, two older teenage boys (19 & 18) and one 7 year old boy.

I am trying to decide whether to book onsite Disney value (2 rooms).

Offsite cheaper hotel. (2 rooms).

I have reservations at Comfort Inn LBV two rooms with the first night at $9 and the other nights at 49.00.

The reason I booked this was for.
1. The breakfast (which sounds like it might not be a good one after all from what I am reading).
2. The bus shuttle (which sounds like it will be good for what we need.) The two older boys may go to Universal and this hotel does over a shuttle there also.

The pool is heated, so they told me, but from reviews I have read here the pool is not much. Not sure how much we will be able to use the pool in December anyways. Another downside is NO hot tub. I really like a Hot Tub.

I know from past expereinces we are not at the room a whole lot but I do like a nice hotel.

So are there places to eat and shop within walking distance of this hotel?

Is there other hotels reasonably priced like this that might be a better place to stay?

I can afford to spent a little more on the hotel but would the money be better spent on other things?

Looking for any and all opinions here!!

I would stay where you booked, the values have no hot tubs and would be more money. You have excellent rates.

I also think you have a good rate and they have everything you wanted except for a hot tub. I love a hot tub too, but unless you can find a rate that good with a shuttle to WDW and Universal, then just go with it. Will you have a rental car at all? Good luck.

spend the money on a rental car. so if the shuttle don't work well for you - you have a back up plan.

plus you will need something to get from the airport to it.

the only places with free airport shuttles are Disney and airport hotels.

that say would not put this hotel up with the top hotels, not even the middle, - but the high lower end.

don't know if that helps or makes it worst.

Thanks for the input. Not sure yet if we will get a rental car or not. None of us like to drive in strange places.
