Does anyone have an answer to this?

I am staying with family in a one bedroom at the boardwalk. (Party of 5). I am not the lead name on the reservation. During our stay, my wife and I are slipping away for a one night reservation early in the week at the Grand Floridian. We we planning on also doing another night towards the end of the stay. (I have holding points to burn)

Understanding you can't be on two room reservations at once, how could this work? Will they cancel the single night reservation? If not, will we be able to get back into the original reservation after the one night stays? Is there risk to the primary party at all? Will my fastpasses get messed up?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

My experience is that online booking doesn't care if your name is on more than one reservation.

If a CM finds out, they will bring it to your attention.

Thanks. I have found this as well. At the end of the day, I just want to make sure I don't mess with the rest of my family's stay.

The problem isn't that you're on two reservations. The problem is that the system will have no idea how to authorize your band to unlock both doors. That's the problem with being on two reservations.

Create a 'new' person on your Family and Friends page. Use your initials, nickname or some other slight variation of your name to make the one-night reservations. You will get a separate Magic Band for each reservation. Just use it to open the room doors and keep your tickets linked to your 'real' name.
