same day reservation

while on our last day of a recent stay, I checked the availability of some resorts on the availability tool. I saw that there were a couple types of rooms available for that night. I then realized I wasn't able to book the same day. are you able to call ms and reserve a room for the same night? I often find myself not wanting to leave and looking for rooms that may be available on our last day to extend our trips.

Yes you can. We have done it several times.

Definitely. We had flights canceled due to weather once and were able to call to book a room for an extra night.

We have done that a few times, a lot of times there is availability on the same day, guess the time of yr has to be right also

DW and I several times have been at DTD for the day and decided we wanted to stay the night. Called the resorts directly (back before MS was open on Sundays) or MS and checked in within 15 minutes.
At MK for the day in Feb ’14 for our anniversary, called MS @09:00, and booked a room at BLT for that night. Checked-in @11:00 and the room was ready. We did not plan on this day going like this until @05:00 while still in bed.

Amazingly, this has worked every time we've done it. I always think, "there's no way they'll have anything available," then they always do.

That is nice to know!!!! I never want to go home now I can stall the return trip at least one night
