Same Day FP+ Availability in Summer

It seems like same day FP availability and booking additional FP has become more plentiful recently.

I'm considering booking our FP for only Frozen, and then using the app to make 2 more FP at another park after we scan. What's the availability like these days? I miss being able to just check the dibb UK site to see for myself. We will be a group of 6 which has me even more cautious about trying this. Will rides like Splash, Big Thunder, Space, Tower of Terror, Safari, Everest, or even Toy Story have availability still by noonish?

Yes those rides you list will still have availability. To use a phrase "never say never", but it's unlikely you'll get 7DMT or FEA same day, but most other rides you can. Time selection isn't as good as it is at 60 days out of course (or 30 days for us offsite folks), but it's not bad at all.

We go in summer a lot, and honestly probably 30-40% of the time our kids want to change our FP+ plans for the next day. We rarely have issues doing it.

EDIT: Keep in mind, with some rides like Safari, TSMM, Everest you don't even need a FP+ if you go late enough. Their lines vanish to nothing before park closing.

Thanks. We have a short 3 day trip and so optimizing RD and Park Closings have already been taken into account. Just trying to decide how to best juggle everything else. The focus on this trip is Pandora and MK, but we also want to ride ToT as much as possible, and get at least one or two rides in on TSMM and at least one on Frozen.

The plan is to use 2 days of FP on Pandora, as well as a RD and EMH closing there. A RD and closing at MK. But we can't decide what to use for RD and FP the other day.
