Same day fast passes

We just did 6/25- 7/1 (family of 5 with a 2 yr old so looking for 3 or 4). We booked every day’s FP that day as we didn’t make advanced plans on where we wanted to go. We usually arrived around opening time or within 15-20 min. (not making the rope drop) and we were able to refresh for everything but slinky dog. It seemed like there was a lot of availability if you just took the first time that became available and modified it. We also used the Epcot extra magic hours which were great.
