Same Day ADR's for Character Meals

I have a friend going down jersey week and all the character meals she has tried are booked.

Has anyone had success during busier times of the year getting ADR’s the day before (or day of) a character meal? I’m sure people must cancel last minute all the time…right?

Yes, tell her to keep trying between now and when she arrives, and if nothing comes up she should still try when she gets there.

We were able to get a same day ressie for LTT. I think it will all depend on if people do cancel ADR's that they don't plan to use. Personally I would not risk going up to a character meal and trying to go standby. I don't think I could withstand the meltdown from my kids if we couldn't get in.

They aren't going to go stand-by. I agree that that would be too rough for the kids if they don't get in. I'll tell them to keep trying.

Every time I've gone (always in mid-June!) I've been able to get reservations the morning-of for 'Ohanas character breakfast. So definitely tell her to keep trying! Disney Dining is willing to do a lot to squeeze people in at the last minute.

we have been to crt several times just by trying a couple days out right around the time people have to cancel to get there deposit back, i think most people don't cancel ressies without a deposit. but you can try. we've also done chef mickeys with a short wait, so it is possible, i would have some alternate plans aswell, good luck!!
