Samantha Brown at EPCOT

@Peter: yes, but in general the entire Travel Channel is just a advertisements for vacation properties. The premise I've always seen is "look at this amazing, exotic place, live vicariously through these shows because most people don't get to go to them". Then again, I don't claim to be an expert on her shows or that channel, this is strictly anecdotal evidence.

I have a couple of shows on DVD from the early Great Hotels series and she doesn't really say anything negative in those. But then again she is visiting 5 star resorts and hotels so I'm not sue that there is much to complain about.

I really like her shows. I like that she shows hotels and gives good travel tips. I wish Travel Channel would show more, you know, TRAVEL shows. Half of their airtime seems dedicated to $%#& ghost shows or #$@% man vs food.

I love Anthony Bourdain too, although he'd never do a Disney episode. He did do Vegas once though.

Another travel show that I like is 'JetSet Life' which is online only. You can check it out at jetsetlife.tv

Looking forward to Sams Disney episodes!

I agree. There was never HUGE issues but I remember her complaining about bell service once, hotel room decor another and I remember lots of 'cool' comments. Not negatives per se but certainly not compliments (if you read between the lines).

Capnzach, I agree with you too but the shows on Travel Channel don't start that way. Anthony Bourdain was a real crumudgeon before the show took off. He's still a sour puss but I haven't heard him badmouth a whole city like he used to.

I agree with you. For a long time, The Travel Channel showed poker games which belonged on ESPN. Now, there are so many shows about food, which should be on Food Network. They do need to show more about travel, and I really look forward to Samantha's shows, especially with Disney. :cool1:

I have to ask why? I'm not slamming you, I just don't understand. Are you just wanting see anything Disney, for instance? Does it have to be good? Wouldn't it be better if she were able to tell people that she thinks the Stitch show or the Race car fiasco at MGM just didn't float her boat (hypothetically, of course)? Just curious.

Anyone heard any updates on when this is supposed to show? I've checked my guide and it's not on the 12th anywhere, so I'm guessing it got moved for some reason.

Is the show going to be on tomorrow? I would like to see it!

I'm glad this post popped back up because although I've already recanted on my position with regard to Ms. Brown's personality I fear I did not go far enough.

I was watching a 'best of' show on the TC the other day and Ms. Brown exposed her great appreciation for nude beaches. (pun intended, btw). Samantha Brown, I am now a fan again!:thumbsup2

Hi! I am pretty sure that Samantha was just taping the Disney Christmas parade. BUT I just lost all my Samantha Brown (and a lot of other) Disney specials when my DVR went nuts this week (BTW if anyone has any of them that they can put on DVD PLEASE PM me!!!) But anyway I really think she is GREAT and if it weren't for her special on the WL I never would have fell in love with it.

I don't believe Samantha gets involved with the parade tapings at all, and they took place the first weekend of December.

I'm pretty sure it was for the "Best Places I've Ever Been" special episode "Disney Memories", which aired several weeks ago. It wasn't a Sam Brown specific show. She had the first segment.
