Samanta Brown's New Show and Blurb about 50th

Hi,

Ink and I were just watching Samantha Brown's new show called Seasons of Disney- Samantha Brown's Favorite Disney Things


Well it was a good show. Then she got to her favorite parade. Her comment on the Parade of Dreams was

"this parade was created to celebrate Disneyland's 50th Anniversary but was so highly successful that they decided to keep it"

Ink and I looked at each and said OMG Like VMK

Thought you all might find her comment interesting.

I feel the need to go to DLR and complain that this parade is "OLD" and that it shouldn't be around because the "50th Celebration is over."

Remember...Dreams Come True fireworks were created for the 50th too, and that show is still going, popular as ever.

The "50th celebration was long over" is just an excuse, the real reason is
unknown. What good reason could there be for closing VMK??

wow good find. Disney are hypocrites, because anyone remember how the 25th Birthday of WDW was extended? The 50th was extended, the Year of a Million Dreams extended, parades intended for a "limited time" get extended and more. So why not drop the 50th promo charade about VMK and keep it.

I've just set the later showing to record so I can watch it. I almost completely forgot that it was on tonight!

It appears that both the Fireworks and the parade were lucky enough to have the word "Dreams" in it so it can be salvaged for the "Year of a Million Dreams" promotion.

Considering they kept those two events around after the 50th because it would have cost them plenty of money to change it, they chose the easier route.

Once again, the mighty dollar and bottom line has spoken.
