I have become a member of the shareholders club and got the card when you go to salon mickey do you just need the shareholders card or should I take a passport to prove I am the person named on the card as well

thanks a lot

Just the shareholder's card is enough - at least it was the times we've been in!

When I went in the first time they did ask for some form of ID other than my Shareholders Card. I used a credit card as I had not taken my passport.

Hi

thanks all for your reply I will try and use a credit card rather than take a passport then

cheers

I had my photo driving licence id as the only time we are happy carrying passports is for using them when getting annual passposts (Dream , Fantasy etc) :)

We've never been asked for ID other than the shareholders card however I think we've usually had annual passes which have photo id.:goodvibes

Just wanted to let the relevant posters know that I moved the rest of the posts to the Mouscellaneous thread :)

I was shocked to be asked for my passport in July as I am not n the habit of carrying it about. However, the pleasant lady at reception was more than happy to accept a quick look at the name on my credit card.

Why where you shocked?

I think that the control of your Shareholdercard must be very stronger.
Lots of people have the habit of lending the card to other not-shareholders and that’s totally against the rules.
Disney also knows of this problem so checking your passport is not that strange.

I was shocked because in my country we do not need any general ID cards. The only time I take out my passport is to go on holiday or to open a bank account. I would certainly not go carrying it around DLP for the day where it could be nicked or lost. Also, as we were staying on site, surely our hotel passport which I also showed should have been enough. This could easily confirm our family name. At the end of the day, Salon Mickey is a nice place, but it's just a comfy chair and a hot drink...it's hardly like asking to come and see the crown jewels!!!!
