Sales Tax on DDP?

I know this might be a stupid question, but. Do you pay taxes up front on the Dining Plan or do you pay them OOP at each meal?

tax is paid up front (included in the cost of the dining plan)

The only additional tax you would pay at time of purchasing food would be if you ordered something extra, not covered on the plan. Like if you were eating at Le Cellier and decided to order a cup of cheddar soup & a beer to go with your DDP meal. You'd pay tax on the cost of the soup & beer only.

I have always wondered about that sales tax situation. I always factor the tax into my OOP costs because there is another % that the DDP covers and makes it more beneficial for my family.
